Andy's Bravo Scrapbook

Andy's Bravo Scrapbook

Andy Cohen
Cozy night

Andy Cohen opens up two decades of Bravo history in a photo-and-memory scrapbook, part backstage pass and part affectionate family album. It is the rare book club pick you can flip through on the couch with a blanket and still talk about for hours.

Blankets, Cocoa, and Twenty Years of Bravo

Come over for mac and cheese, hot cocoa, and Andy Cohen's photo-stuffed scrapbook. Bring slippers and one embarrassing old picture of yourself.

Reading level: Easy

Best for: A club that likes to laugh, trade stories, and treat reading night like a long catch-up with friends

Discussion

Warm-up

  1. 1.Flip to whichever photo or page made you smile first and just show us. What about it got you?
  2. 2.Was there a Bravo show (or any show) that got you through a rough patch? Tell us about that season of your life.

Digging in

  1. 1.Looking at these photos spanning twenty years, what did seeing people visibly age and change on camera stir up in you?
  2. 2.Andy writes about these casts almost like family. Who is in your chosen, slightly chaotic, non-blood family?
  3. 3.Which moment in the book felt genuinely tender rather than spectacular, and why did that land for you?
  4. 4.Have you ever kept a scrapbook, photo wall, or shoebox of printed pictures? What does holding a physical memory do that scrolling cannot?

Going deep

  1. 1.Andy spent decades being the person who keeps everyone comfortable and talking. Does that caretaking role feel familiar in your own life, and what does it cost?
  2. 2.By the time you closed the book, what did it leave you feeling about your own twenty years, and is there something you want to start saving?

On the table & to sip

To eat

Watch-party pigs in a blanket with honey mustard
Pure Bravo-couch snacking, warm from the oven, no fork required while you pass pages around
Creamy baked mac and cheese in a big dish
Nothing says comfort viewing like one casserole everyone scoops from, which matches the book's family-album feeling
Build-your-own sundae bar with hot fudge
Gently indulgent and a little showy, a nod to Andy's reunion-night energy without any real effort

To sip

Housemade hot cocoa with whipped cream and crushed peppermint (no alcohol)
The non-alcoholic comfort anchor, best in oversized mugs while people read aloud from photo captions
Mulled apple cider with cinnamon sticks (no alcohol)
Simmers on the stove all night, perfumes the room, and lets guests serve themselves as they drift in
Andy's talk-show style old fashioned
A warm, slow sipper that winks at the clubhouse cocktail without turning the night into a party

Run of show

7:00
Mugs first, shoes off
Hand everyone cocoa or cider at the door and point them at the softest seat. No agenda yet.
7:20
Open to a page
Everyone finds one photo they loved and passes the book around. This doubles as the warm-up.
7:45
Comfort plates
Serve the mac and cheese and pigs in a blanket buffet style so the conversation never actually stops.
8:10
Theme questions, slow pace
Work through the theme cards, letting tangents happen. Tangents are the point tonight.
8:45
Sundae bar and the deeper two
Sugar first, then the two deeper questions while hands are busy with spoons.
9:15
Scorecards and show-and-tell
Fill out cards, then invite anyone who brought an old photo of their own to share it.

Host tips

  • Ask guests to bring one printed photo of themselves from twenty years ago. It transforms the night and costs nothing.
  • Keep the book physically circulating. This one is meant to be handled, pointed at, and laughed over, not held by one reader.
  • Resist running on time. If a tangent about someone's grandmother's photo albums takes fifteen minutes, that is a successful cozy night.
